So, have you been to that tea room, yet? I went to one in Springfield and it just didn't have the same casual feel to it. I just hate all that uppityness that so many of the tea rooms seem to have. You ain't gonna get me in no fancy hat 'n gloves 'n lacy finery jes to drink some tea and eat some teeny tiny sandwiches full o' stuff I ne'er e'en herd of! Hahaha!

OH...that was me laughin out loud! You're so cute...and NO I've not had occasion to frequent above mentioned Tea Room...but I will!
Thanks for the mention...wasn't there also a thread about restaurants...wait...I'll be right back...

I lived up north in DC and Maryland for a few years before moving back 2 years ago. I missed so many things about Missouri. The country/bluegrass music, the tractor pulls( Threasher show in Rosebud is the highlight of my year), sweet tea, fried foods.
SO many things! Glad to be back!

The food that I miss the MOST is Imo's pizza without a doubt! I've taken my inlaws there, as has my sister (all of our inlaws are from PA and NY) and they say it's the most disgusting thing they've ever tasted! Then again, they think it's not REAL pizza unless it's on a whole loaf of bread!
I also miss Steak n Shake and sweet tea on a regular basis. The only place out here that has sweet tea is Cracker Barrell and they don't make it as sweet as I like.
Oh! Also toasted ravioli! They've never heard of it here! I have managed to find it at Olive Garden, but that's it.

I moved away from Missouri & anticipating the return!!
Steak N Shake, I must say. Those skinny, little french fries....ok, I'm drooling on my keyboard.
Thunderstorms. As strange as that may sound, I miss the thunder & lightning.
The Mississippi river & ANY restaurant that is near it. For some reason the restaurants/pubs/bars next to the river are ALWAYS great!!
I miss the frequent trips to STL & going to Cardinal games! Ugh...I could just cry right now

Hi, Eve!
I know what you mean about the thunder and lightening! If Arizona's storms are anything like California's storms, they can't begin to hold a candle to one of our good ol' Missouri thunderstorms!!! Gotta luv 'em!!!
So, when do you think you might be findin' yer way back to our humble home state???
