Try NACO.ORG.. This is National Association of Counties. Click on Missouri and you will find most, if not all, Missouri towns/cities, counties. Try it. Good Luck.

2be is exactly right I want a personal feeling what it is like to live there. Is everyone clicky and do they except outsiders? I already read the city-date form about each cities and read all the chamber of commerce for the areas I am interested. I would like to know what everyone personal feeling about the schools for example teachers, do the allow parents to be involved by helping in the classes, how does the area look like. Is it a depressive area such as the town run down or average and how are the polices and community helping? That kind of stuff. I could go on and on with questions.
Anything you can tell me personality will be great.

Karey

Eminecne is a neat town. Its a tourist town in the summer. Its in the Ozark national scenic riverways. Its mountainous (By ozarks standards) with large springs and caves in the area plus the Jacks fork and Current river. Very popular canoing rivers. Lots of national forest land to play in.
Vanzant is more of a sign than a town.

I would say for employment, Clinton would be the most promising due to it's size and location in comparison with the other towns you listed. You have Truman Lake and Lake of the Ozarks nearby. Kansas City and Springfield are both about 1.5 hours away.

The clicky people thing pretty much happens in the rural areas in my experience.

Eminence has a great school, the people are all friendly, and helpful, not many jobs here though, we have more boonies than town for sure. you can buy a house for well under a 100,000 but probably not for long, people are coming in from everywhere and buying and building. most are buying large lots of land though so we still wont have a big metropolis any time soon. Summer times is hectic, one week of the month its virtually impossible to go to a restaurant and have a peaceful dinner due to trailriders and tourists. One note dont buy land north of town near camp zoe. It has been bought by the band schwag and they have concerts there throughout the summer. nothing against that but you can hear it for miles through these hills and hollars.
