This should be obvious. The Midwest offers a
Mostly poor job market, dreadful climate, very little
For singles, and a archaic social culture.

It says the shift was "pulled by Hispanic growth in the Southwest", not because of the Midwest lacking anything.

I knew it!!! Missouri is a Southern state!

Admittedly, the climate can leave a bit to be desired, as Fenton, Rolla and Fort Leonard Wood didn't have a calm New Years Eve at all....

Speak for yourself!
I like the climate, and I found the love of my life here.

I don't like the climate here all the time but that's just me. I hate the cold, but 6 months out of the year the climate is okay. As far as nothing to do...........huh?????? The Lake of the Ozarks is my back door. There is boating, skiing, tons of night life that is accessible by car or boat, shopping, restaraunts. Branson is a few hours away. Kansas city and St. Louis have all the ammenities of a big city with TONS to do. What is it you would like to do that you cant do in the midwest besides the beach?????????? As far as jobs, well until the economy flopped there were plenty of jobs here. Maybe not high wages, but wages. We are not all sitting here on welfare, twiddling our thumbs out of bordem with no one to talk too. We are however freezing our butts off this winter. LOL Take care all, praying for Spring to arrive and turn to summer.
