Boy, they've got some Southern accents from that part of Missouri, especially compared to Ha Ha Tonka, who are from West Plains and KC and then lived in Springfield. Reminds me of the Southern vs. Midwestern thread and what everyone has said there about that part of the Ozarks.

Thanks for introducing me to a new Missouri band.

Okay, you are awesome, kshe95girl! Now I'm listening to Meth Lab Blues. Wow! What a powerful song. Love the guitar. Now the voice sounds more just like rock.

I got four more songs that I found on their site (the link you provided) that I could download. I'll listen to them all and I bet I like them all just as much.
Love both bands.....its interesting to listen to the differences and similarities in their styles and influences.
I come from a very musical family with Ozark influences, must be the music geek in me to pick up on all this stuff.

Ozarks, if you want some SE Missouri Music check out John D. Hale Band. Not sure what all they have on youtube but I know they're on there. They're from Jackson, Missouri

I found their songs on MySpace. I'd say they are more country, but hard too. I like country. They have accents too. I really like their song, Someday He Might. Really good one. Going to try and find a download of it. Thanks!

Yeah they've got alot of good ones & they are primarily country. Part of their music video for Stake our Claim Again was filmed on the county road across the blacktop from mine. Every year they have a big party (it's commin up) where they get four or five bands together and play music all evening and night long out in the country

There's also some bands that have a strong blues influence once you get down in the Bootheel. Couple weeks ago at church we had some guys that played some blues inspired gospel. It was great!
