Hello, dbrewer! I really tried to find something but that area is so full of small towns that it was really hard. I did find two houses for rent in Pevely and some other city nearby. They were top of the line houses and I don't know what you were planning to spend so here's the link:

One of the houses looked like it was being rented by an individual but the other had the name of a property management company that may be of some help to you. Here's their info:

I went to anywho.com and asked for property management companies in festus and got this:

I do have a suggestion on another direction to look. I'm guessing that the further you get from St. Louis, the less expensive the housing is. If you continue south on 67, you will come to places like Park Hills (32 miles) and even Farmington (38 miles). Valles Mines is 16 miles away and De Soto is 14. I can't tell you much about these places except Farmington and I think it would make a great place to live. I know, it's a little far...but I just thought I'd share whatever I could think of to help you.

Have you called any of the Realtors in the area for tips and referrals? I know some realty offices handle rentals, too.
