Western Missouri is now under an excessive heat warning as well. It was issued by the National Weather Service this afternoon.

Here I sit all day in this AC Real Estate office. Playing secretary, I think.0 But, in an hour I will have to stumble out the door to my new blue bomb and close the moon/sun roof(never did figure out what the big difference is.) Oh yeah, daytime it be sun roof and night time moon roof, idiot that I am.

Attempt not to experience road rage at the farmers driving 20 mph on the 60 mph hwy. and hurry to my next stop. (don't any agricultural types smite me, please) Ahhhh, home sweet home. and AC. Turn sprinkler on, I just know that my hubby will not have remembered to do such. No Cold one tonight tho. Just a big Glass of H2O. IT IS 98 here now

Even though I am missing MO, I am not missing the heat.
What part of Indiana do you live in? If it's the Northern part, yea...you'll more than likely escape the heat. But Central and Southern Indiana are usually not much better than Missouri if any different...Indianapolis can get just as hot as St. Louis in the summer, I've been there many times...maybe give or take 5 degrees was all the difference there normally was maximum. In any case, we all knew it was coming here eventually...at least our summer was more normal this time...likely this will pass after two weeks. August is normally when the country begins its cooking. I can only imagine how hot Arizona is going to be when I'm there this weekend. If I remember, last summer was excessively hot...it felt like it was in between 90 and 100 for most of July and late June in addition to August...the heat was relentless. This summer was much more normal....June and most of July were pretty tolerable....these last two weeks it's really begun to cook. Thank God summer is almost over.

Yikes and more yikes!!! It was 103 and 102 all my way home from my designated place of employment to my humble abode. Of course sprinkler had not been turned on so my fine feathered friends must have suffered or thought that I had deserted them. Will make it up to them tomorrow, just like Scarlett, I be

Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio are apparently going to undergo the same thing as Missouri. Indianapolis and Terre Haute and Columbus and Cincinnati and also places like Louisville and Lexington are expected to reach temperatures of up to 105 degrees in the next few days. Northern Indiana, particularly around Kokomo is supposed to be 100 degrees too. Looks like the lower Midwest and Upper South are about to get a beating. Oh well...at least the summer was pretty good up to this point. It can only last a month, if that...given we are into August now. i'm going to ARizona this weekend and that's not going to exactly give me the break I need lol....people from Phoenix would pray for this heat warning, so everyone here should consider themselves lucky....somewhat hehe...

Aaaamen, ajf!!! And you're right about last summer! It was KILLER! And the humidity was oppressive! I can't remember EVER feeling that blast of steamy heat before in my life...and I don't look forward to it ever again! Realistically, though, I know that it will happen again...but thankfully, the worst of it usually only goes on for about 6 weeks.

Countin' the days...or weeks?
