My company is moving me to the MO/KC area soon and I need to find reasonable horse property for rent. My stores are all over from Emporia, KS to Leavenworth, some in KC and a few just over the MO line. I am pretty much free to live anywhere within 1.5 hrs from KC, but so far my rental search has led me to believe that Missouri is going to be more affordable than Kansas.

I currently live in a small town in Northern NV, love to fish, hunt, ride horses, pretty much anything outdoors and would like to continue that lifestyle.
My niece will be living with me and will need a community college to finish her AA.

I have been looking at Butler, Clinton, Warrensburg, Lone Jack, Lee's Summit, Richmond, St. Joseph, Cameron, Platte City, etc

If anyone can point me in the right direction on where I can find reasonable horse property (no more than $1,200) that has acreage and a community college nearby, or if you have anything on the cities I mentioned above. I would appreciate it very much.

I'd suggest searching in Johnson, Cass, or Platte counties in Missouri, Miami, Franklin and Leavenworth counties in Kansas as they are further out from the main metro area. Any remaining stables closer in are likely to be more expensive.

Some Community College links:

Kansas City Kansas Community College

There are a number of boarding stables in the Belton, Pleasant Hill, Lee's Summit, Bucyrus and Ottawa bedroom communities of South Kansas City (both sides of the state line) if your neice is considering either Longview CC or JoCo CC.

Maybe someone can chime in with a more specific recommendation.
