Hey guys! On 9/11/07, I posted the following on another thread that Eric started....

As you can all imagine, our lives have been WAY BEYOND hectic since I was last here!

First things first! I am still recovering somewhat from the poison oak. My face, thankfully, is no longer the size of a basketball! I still have rashes on my hands and knees (of all places). I have been finished with the predisone for about 3 days now and the only real side affect I had with it, was insomnia and it was BAD... I went about 15 days on about 15 hours sleep! That was pretty bad...but luckily, I seem to have bounced back pretty good! By and large, I am better! I am sure all of your prayers assisted in that healing, so thank you!

Next...we SOLD our house TODAY! We closed at 11:30am central time...so, for the time being, we are "renting" our own former home

And, as of late this afternoon, we take possession of our new house close to the end of the month!

So, as you can see, EVERYTHING is moving WAY MORE QUICKLY than I am prepared for!

So, in about 2 weeks, we will be moving into our new home!
Thanks, in no small part, to the well wishes and prayers from all of you FANTASTIC folks! We are eternally grateful!

Now, on a personal note to NORTHBAYERIC:
First, thank you so much for the greeting card! It was such a suprise and a nice one at that. I have been remise in responding, as I was waiting to see what was going to happen with the house selling/house buying situation....and, as you can see above, I sincerely cannot find a good time when we would be able to meet up with you during your trip! There is just so much going on, and as of late this afternoon, our plans are still not firmed up, as they might be moving the closing of our new house up ANOTHER week...so we really have to not only remain flexible at this point, but also diligent in our packing as we now only have 2 weeks, and maybe less! (plus, we are hoping to get out of this house ASAP, as we are paying rent by the day until we are gone, and do not wish to pay more than we have to...must save every dime since we had to sell our home for almost $15k less than we originally listed at!) So, as much as we would love to meet you and take you around town to see the sights...it is truly just not going to work out during this trip! However, I just know you are going to fall in love with this town after you are here for a few days, so I know you will be coming back...and just maybe when that happens, we will be settled!


Again, to everyone on this fabulous Missouri forum...you are all a blessing! Thank you all so very much...for everything!

Also, just wanted to pop in with another update...which is, we move next week into our new house! YIPEE! So, I am doing LOTS of quick packing to prepare!

It is such a relief to hear you are recovering from your Poison Oak. And an even better thing that you are off of that awful prednisone!!! But the most exciting thing is that you are this close to moving into your new house. Yipeeeee!!! Having just made the move from CA to MO, the memories of packing, moving and unpacking are all still very fresh in my mind. It's stressful and overwhelming and exciting....all at the same time. Fortunately, you don't have too far to move, so that's a blessing.

It is my sincerest hope that God is with you throughout this whole ordeal and that things go so smoothly and quickly, that you'll find a few moments of your time to spend with your #1 Fan, NBEric when he's in town. This is an exciting time for you both, and what better way than to celebrate together....if only for an hour or two. Plus, it'd be a great opportunity to take a picture or two to show the rest of us here. That way, we can celebrate with you.

Congrats on finally selling your home.....it's a great comfort to know that such a heavy burden has been lifted from your shoulders. You'll be starting that new chapter in your life in no time, and how wonderful is that????

Hey Folks...
Got a written message from NorthBayEric left on the porch last night around 7:00pm. Said he spent day before yesterday driving around the area visiting libraries (checking out job opportunities) and spent yesterday looking around St. Joe and looking at some real estate (houses). Found several he is interested in.

Said he knows his wife will love the houses and architecture and he likes what he has seen so far and wishes he had more time to spend here.

This morning he is off to St. Louis (across the state) to visit family.

So, you can imagine, our life right now is cardboard, packing tape, black magic markers and tired feet & aching backs!

But, we are finally seeing the end of tunnel...and it looks good!
