Just a quick update!
In the thick of the extra nice spruce up we are doing for the potential buyers.

Got an e-mail from them around noon that they are still on the way and will be here in the morning at 10:00am (central time)

Sat down to take 5, and to once again thank you ALL so VERY MUCH for all the encouragement and thoughts and prayers!

The house looks wonderful and we only have a few more hours of work to go before we are ready!

Wish us luck!

Wink While we await the final countdown!

Good Luck, Godspeed, and heartiest best wishes to you, dear. We are all totally behind you and the Mr. as we now count down from 13 hours till the (we hope) new owners show up!

This is just so exciting, kind of like Game 7 of a World Series almost. We can pretend this is the seventh-inning stretch when we all get up and stretch, take some deep breaths, and get ready for a thriller finish. During this commercial break, if you will, I thought I'd break the tension a bit by sharing with you some of the funniest questions actually asked of online columnist Marilyn vos Savant and reprinted in the 7/29/07 issue of Parade magazine, page 8.

Called "Questions Too Funny to Answer," I hope I NEVER get asked any of these questions when I'm working at the library!

"Does a 10-gallon hat really hold that much? They don't look big enough!" (Oak Park, IL)

"Suppose we could get all living things on Earth to face one direction and then begin running. Would this influence the speed of the Earth's rotation?" (Waterloo, NY)

"Where did all the stars go? In the '50s, the sky was loaded with them." (St. Petersburg, FL)

"If fish could sneeze, and a whole school of fish sneezed all at once, how big of a wave would it create?" (Wichita, KS)

"Do flies ever get sick?" (Riverside, CA)

"Can a ventriloquist converse with his dentist while his teeth are being worked on?" (Brooklyn, MI)

And my favorite of all....

Sure you're ready for this?

Positive?

I'd turn back if I were you!!

OK, you asked for it!!!!

"Do you think daylight saving time could be contributing to global warming? The longer we have sunlight, the more it heats the atmosphere." (San Antonio, TX)

POST-VISIT UPDATE!!! 1:20pm (central)

They were here and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the house! They were here for about 1.5 hours. They had a lot of family with them (2 sisters, grandchild, niece) but they still looked a lot.

The husband was VERY impressed. Upon their departure, he let us know that they would be calling us back this afternoon to come back over by themselves to be able to actually "think" and look more closely and have a serious discussion with us about making an offer!

Here I thought the husband would be the tough sell, and he just fell head over heels! The wife was also estatic and couldn't contain her comments, like "ooh, I can put the hutch there and the table here" or, the "beds will fit just fine" or "thanksgiving with the family will be so nice here", etc... she already has all her furniture and decorations in place!

They left to go look at a few more houses, but the husband wanted us to be sure and know that they "WOULD" be back later this afternoon and to expect a call from them soon!

So, it is not over yet, but it sure sounds promising. I certainly hope they don't like anything else they are going to look at...but really, I can't say I am that worried about it. We know where their heart is!

I will keep you posted!

SJF,

WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!!!!!! My heart skipped a beat when I read your words!!! Oh dear lady, I will pray even harder that they use your house to compare the others to....and that the other's just can't live up to what your wonderful home has to offer.

We did the same thing when we were house hunting, and although we saw some beautiful homes....we just couldn't get 'our' home out of our minds. Nothing else 'spoke' to us the same way. With the Lord's help, we realized our dream, and surely you and the buyers will too. Ohhh, I just can't cross my fingers tight enough for you. It's so exciting!!!

I am sooooooooooo happy for you!!!!!!!!! Please let us know as soon as you hear anything more.....we are all on pins & needles.....the suspense is killin' us.

'Dear Lord.....Please lead the potential buyers to buy SJF's home.....guide them all to their dreams!!! Fulfill their hearts desire' Amen.

With Bated Breath,
Boof

Thumbs up Fantastic News!!

Wow, I am just thrilled to bits for you thus far!! Will have to call in a few favors from my friends and get everyone on their knees!!

When we were looking for our "dream house" on the lake we looked at quite a few "I don't think so's" before we found our new home.....we wanted to be sure so we looked at a 1/2 dozen more. Our hearts were already in that home!!

Prayers and Blessings.....

O.Nana
