Meet & Greet Events Poll
Hello, all!
We're lookin' for some feedback to see how much interest there is for our club that we are currently calling, "Over the Fence Coffee Club". In the thread by the same name, Mrs. ChiliCook has just given a fresh overview on what ideas we've come up with so far. That makes it a perfect time to get some feedback from people here in the forum to be sure we're on the right track.
So, here's a poll that will give you a chance to tell us what sort of events YOU would like to participate in and when.
Once you've taken the poll, please post to let us know any other thoughts or questions you have on the subject. You do not have to post in order to participate in the poll, though.

I forgot something!
They won't let me edit the poll so I have to write another post to let you know that I forgot to mention that we would like any other ideas you have! Please just share them in your post and we'll see what kind of feedback they get!

One more thought!
Okay, I'm sorry but I wanted to be sure to say that we understand that not everyone is comfortable with getting together and know that many people prefer to remain more anonymous.
We want you to feel comfortable choosing that option, especially because it is also important to us. If there are only a few people interested in getting together, at least we will know about how many people to expect or plan for. Make sense? I thought so!

Poll ideas
Are the poll ideas us submitting them here? I liked the coffe house one so far.
Going to the show together is always fun expecially when it is a funny show.
That's my input and I'm sticking to it. Momma Duck

Good question, MommaDuck!
I created the poll and can't even make changes in it, myself. What's really funny is that I had "Movies?" in the list and then removed it!!! As you know, I love going to the movies but then thought about how we wouldn't be visiting together unless we also planned something before or after it.
I decided that once we all get to know each other better, we can start to do things like that, especially with those who are IN our particular areas. FYI, we also have discussed taking day trips, too! Hahaha!

Nice Job MrsG :D
MrsG,
The poll looks great....it has great options. The results should provide us with the kind of information we'll need to coordinate & plan better. Kudos!!!
Your thoughts about the Movies is spot on. It would be much better to plan outings like that once the group has had a chance to become better acquainted.
The one suggestion I would probably make would be to see if we can arrange gatherings on weekends...maybe alternate if the crowd is split on that. There are probably people that work full time, and just can't make it during the week. C3bunny is one of them.
The idea of having Day Trips is also good. Maybe try to schedule them every few months or so. I fear that if we have them too often, then it may become problematic for some. But the Coffee Time once a month or so is still good. The first one was very enjoyable!!!
It'll be interesting to hear what others have to say. Ok people...it's role call time....Caver,Jams, LJ, MrsC, Donna, C3bunny, NBEric, Voyager, CaliBassman, BentAxle, Ozark Nana, Kareybear, 2b, Indy, Gripster, G4, etc...you know who you are.....we wanna hear from you all!!!
As you can see, I even mentioned our friends that are still in the planning stages of their planned move to MO. The reason is that some of you are planning 'scouting' trips, and 'recon' missions and thought you might be able to make one of the gatherings while you were here. 'Sides, you've all become such a part of this group that your input is valuable...either way. At least that how I see it.
Hopin' to hear from all ya'll soon,
Boof
PS: I'd like to make honorable mentions for MrsG, MrsC & LJ for giving so generously of their time & effort to get the OTFCC off the ground. Thx a bunch girls!!!

I agree with you on all points, Boof! I'm guessing that comes as no big surprise, though!!!
Thank you for your kind words, too! Your input in getting this group off the ground is much appreciated, too! You may be da Boof but you're also "da bomb"!!!
Thanks again for making all the great points that others can respond to!
Gnite!

I would love to take part in the "Coffee Club" but alas, am still residing in Tucson. We don't move until March of next year.....
I do wonder about the driving distance though, once we move I mean...doesn't seem to be anyone in my neck of the woods in Gravois Mills so that might not be an option for me.
I do love all your ideas though, it's been so nice getting to know people here on this board, you've all been so friendly! I hope you get lots of folks interested, you can never have enough "good" friends!

I'd be tempted to get something to cover those poor half naked half starved girls up...
Pizza and beer sounds pretty good...almost any time! Does Shadow know you're volunteering her deck?
But I just had another idea...what if we had a roving Coffee Club and when people from this group/forum are out here planning their move, we schedule a Coffee Club Visit for them to meet us all? Like...you tell us you're going to be in Podunk whatever on October 4th...anybody who can make it DO a coffee club visit!
I mean...this is such a wonderful bunch of helpful people...online...and this is a way for those of us who want to extend our hand of friendship into the tangible...just a thought. So it's not just Branson, or Springfield...but YOU up there in Columbia or St. Joe or Winston or wherever...form your own Coffee Club as an extension of this forum!
Say...we're meeting at Joe's Cup-A-Joe at 10 am the third Friday...get it started!
Whatayou'ns think?
