Clinton or Warrensburg? (real estate, apartments, rental)

We are looking for any good/bad about these areas. We are looking for good schools, cheap living, close to public water (lake or big pond), business firendly city, good medical and a place where we can feel like we belong to the community.
We would rather...
Be fishing than shopping
Swim in a lake than a city pool
Grill out than eat out
Spend our money on vacation than a high end house
Watch a good high school football game than watch the pros
Buy local than save a buck or two somewhere else
Wake up to birds chirping instead of lots of cars
Less government in our life not more
Buy our produce from food stand or farmers market than the store
Have neighbors with good morals than money if they don't have both
Buy Amreican goods than pay less
Watch a good dirttrack race than go to the movie

What can you tell us about either town? Do most folks in Clinton work in Clinton? When we looked at the area we didn't find anything to rent. Paper had nothing to rent but maybe we are looking in the wrong spot. Where do we look to see what the rental places look like? What type of paperwork if any at the city does putting a hot tub in require in each town? That might sound strange but you couldn't believe what it takes here, we gave up.

Toss a coin! I think both towns are pretty nice. Warrensburg has the advantage (or disadvantage, depending on your perspective) of being a college town. More jobs, and more, well, college kids. Although State Fair College has a satellite building in Clinton and over the past year or two it seems to be offering more and more. Based on your interests I honestly believe either town could fit the bill. If you like hearing birds and being away from government restriction, you might be happiest living out in the country, halfway between these two towns and outside of any city limits. Both towns will have plenty of apartments to rent but if you are looking for a house to rent, you may need to contact a real estate agent or put out an ad, if you are not finding any ads in the local newspapers. These are still relatively small towns so you aren't going to find websites with photo listings like you would in larger towns. As for putting in a hot tub, you would want to contact local government to confirm what their ordinances are.
