Plan now for the Trout season opener on March 1st. A total of nearly 33,000rainbow and brown trout will be stocked at Bennett Spring, Montauk, and Roaring River State Parks and Maramac Spring Park. You will need a fishing permit and a daily tag. the daily trout limit is four (4) fish. Get details on trout permits and regulations at Trout Fishing in Missouri | Permits and Regulations (http://www.MissouriConservation.org/13265 - broken link). Happy fishing in Missouri.

Hope to have more Missouri Events very soon!!!

The Shepard of the Hills Fish Hatchery in Branson will host the award winning Vulture Venture Program on Saturday, Feb. 16th. Inside the Hatchery you will see a live vulture from the Wonders of Wildlife Museum in Springfield. This program is free and requires no reservation. Should prove to be very interesting. This program lasts from noon until 6 p.m. Enjoy this program that focuses on one of Missouri's most misunderstood and highly beneficial birds.

The Vulture Venture program sure sounds like it would be interesting. But, I doubt we will be able to go, to much work to do around here. Will be cutting up the trees that were broken by the storm and cleaning up the branches.

This is my first post, so I'm not sure if I' allowed to post this link.

The Rolla Daily News - News (broken link)

It's an auto rally in Salem, I thought it sounded like fun. Something to do in the middle of winter anyway:

Saturday’s auto rally, the 100 Acre Wood, will start in downtown Salem at the corner of Fourth and Main streets with a one-hour Parc Expose beginning at 9 a.m.

Spectators will have five opportunities to watch the rally, starting at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until 7 p.m. at various locations throughout the area.
