This weekend Carthage will have approx. 40,000 Vietnamese guests as they arrive for the annual Marion Days Festival. This is a Catholic gathering which attracts people from all across the U.S. Many families use it as a reunion time. Mass is held each day, with concerts some evenings and a parade in traditional dress on Saturday. Churches from various cities set up food tents with everything from sit-down meals to hand-held take away food. It is a good way to experience a different culture and a lot of the local people attend to try new foods. I can give directions if anyone is interested or just come to Carthage and ask anyone!

Hunters wanting to meet local and national hunting pros should go the Bass Pro this weekend. Check out basspro.com for all scheduled seminar and events. Husband and son are going to see Michael Waddell host of "Realtree Road Trips" and "We Live Outdoors". My husband watches his show and teases my son that Waddell is his friend. This should be funny when they see him this weekend. ENJOY!

Thank you G4inMO....We will be in Columbia, MO tomorrow and plan to go to the Bass Pro shop there. I had noticed that they have a few events planned for Thursday.
