27th Annual Blue Grass Festival, HOBA Park, West Plains
Sponsored by the Heart of the Ozarks Bluegrass Association, the festival starts Thursday, June 7 and runs through Saturday, June 9th. Show times are 7:00 PM with the addition of a 1:30 show on Saturday.
Admission is $5 on Thursday, $10 on Friday, $15 on Saturday (two shows).

Anyone in the Rolla area this weekend is welcome to come to Macedonia Baptist Church Sunday night, June 28, to hear The Link Family play some bluegrass gospel music. The concert starts at 6 p.m. We won't charge you to get in, but we're Baptists, so we will take an offering. Because we are Southern Baptists, we'll also have a little something to eat afterward.
To get to the church, go 5 miles north on Highway 63 from Interstate 44. You'll see our billboard and a rock quarry. Then you'll see Old Highway 63 going off to the right. Turn right there. Drive down Old 63 a mile or two and you'll see the church on the right.

Country Days Rodeo and Fair
July 9-11 we went last night thiswill be the last year they are having it they are selling out.
Its just outside Bolivar to the North East off 32 HWY at the Diamound S Arena.

Just read a fascinating article about the wineries in the St. Genevieve area. So many of them now and so much to do in the area. B & B's, tours, Microbreweries, stores, restaurants, shops, winding paths between, even a Cave Winery!!! This area is now referred to as 'Route du Vin' which now has six wineries tucked along the the winding roads and rolling hills of southeast Missouri.
I think that this will be one of our tours very soon. How about you???

For September there is one event taking place that almost didn't make it!  But the powers that be finally got their act together and listened to the people, hmmm, now isn't that strange????  Anywho...From Sept. 7th through Sept. 13th the 'Tour of Missouri' is taking place. Some of the cities hosting festivities are: Ste. Genevieve, Cape Giradeau, Farmington, Rolla, St. James, Jefferson City, Chillicothe, and St. Joseph.
