Catfish Is King In Hannibal, Missouri...Love good catfish? Try 'Bubba's on the Waterfront', in Hannibal..10th anniversary for the restaurant in November. It is housed in the only building to survive the 1993 flood on the waterfront! The brick building housed food shipped from St. Louis when it was built in 1902. Next time you are in the area, you might just want to wander over to Bubba's and give it a try. Oh, you can find the restaurant on Church St. by going left on Broadway and traveling east through the levee. Kinda hard to find, maybe. Call 573-221-5552 and speak with Larry 'Bubba' or Sheila Markley. Hmmmmm, good!!!

Hey, if y'all ever get to California, in Missouri, not the state , might want to work your way around to 'Burgers' Smokehouse. This place has been known for their time-honoured ham curing methods. They are located about 3 miles south of California, again the town in Missouri, not that big state on the west coast, on U.S. Highway 87. Want a catalog? Give'em a call at 800-624-5426 or hop on over to Burgers' Smokehouse .
Burgers' Visitors' Center is open 8 to 5 Monday thru Friday and on Saturdays until Christmas. Oh, BTW, television program: "Modern Marvels" will air a segment about this Missouri establishment on 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov.27th on the History Channel. Called "The Pig". Might want to take a peek. Mark your calender.

Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm!
Oh my gosh, NV, Mrs. Northbayeric and I LOVE that place! We had the pleasure of visiting Burger's Smokehouse at last back in May 2006, and my wife has been receiving their catalogs since 2003 or maybe even earlier.
Once we're settled in St. Joe, we will definitely jump in the car at least a couple of times a year for a Burger's Smokehouse run!

Okay, so let's get this little stick thread down to business! Does anyone have any new events for November or December???
The only one I can add right now is the OTFCC pizza gathering this Saturday, 5pm at McSalty's on Battlefield in Springfield, across from the Battlefield Mall. Several of us have invited our husbands so I hope to see some of you "holdouts" and your spouses or friends there, too!
