Red face Ava ..

I keep looking at property and things ......and yep I keep going back here ..
maybe its because its the first place I visited. (other than vacations to Branson etc)

What is the biggest town near Ava? Millage?

I know I can pull up map quest but sometime map quest dont do the traffic ..or back roads to get ya there faster ya know?

Springfield is the closest city, About an hour west on realy good highway (mostly 4 lane after you turn off 5 and 5 is a realy good 2 lane going north).
Springfield is were all the big colleges are but Drury has satalite classes in ava. Ava has a living square and a super wal-mart, two things not normally found in the same town.

lil kat is on a distinguished road
I wouldn't suggest back roads to Springfield unless you want to be car sick! It is a nice small town with Wal-Mart and the proximity to Bull Shoals Lake as the highlights.

The down town square is full of businesses. Movie Theater, resturants, antique stores, clothing stores, Pharmacy with a soda fountain, tattoo parlor, lawyers offices, Farmers market on sat. morning, thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

When I went .. I dont recall seeing this area.. we drove around what I thought was the square ... there was a farmers market .. mostly plants being sold out of the back of pickem up trucks.

I know I drove down a street that had 3 Chinese restaurants on it... a family restaurant with a buffet ...

we stayed at the only hotel in town as well........

how did we miss all this?

LOL Must have been driving too fast. You drove right by everything I mentioned except the Pharmacy with the soda fountain. Its just off the sqaure. We only have 2 chinese resturants (one burned down).
