Default Marble Hill area

Anyone out there familiar with Marble Hill? We are looking at a farm in the area and would appreciate any comments on the area. Someone had a note at the bottom of the city data page that Margle Hill was the welcare capital of the world.

Been through there couple times, small town in a nice scenic area, ~45 miles west of Cape G, about all I recall. Don't know about the welfare capitol thing... Marble Hill is ~10-15 miles from the border between what I consider the start of the boot hill [flat swampy cotton-growing section] and the end of the SE rolling hills.

Have you checked out the city's web site: Welcome to City of Marble Hill
The Cape G's online paper: seMissourian.com
Regional tourism site: Visit Missouri's River Heritage Region - Southeast Missouri
