That's what I've heard a billion times around here, read on KNWA's newssite. I'm not really in the mood for arguing here, i've found what I need to know.

Edit: And there you go. If you look up Bentonville, Arkansas and average starting pay for teachers, you'll find the average around 40,000 as well. Now I'm done.

Not to continue this. But, I have found in my research that its all even. Meaning, The houses are cheaper. You take a pay cut, but the house is 50% less. Again, a wash IMHO. So, more or less, you just have to see if you want to move or not. Don't move to make a million, move to make a change. To some, that's worth a million

While the salary is lower the population in Brookfield is lower and the cost of living is lower than it would be in Chillicothe.
