The Calaveras Fault runs from just east of San Jose up the East Bay along Interstate 680 thru Concord then disappears under the bay... on the other north side of the bay it may continue as the Green Valley fault but I'm not sure....

Not sure either. I know that the Hayward fault goes in a northwest direction and becomes the Rodgers Creek Fault immediately north of San Pablo Bay. We're in west Santa Rosa, about 4 miles west of the Rodgers Creek Fault, which runs awfully close to a major hospital here in town. Hope I'm not around when a big earthquake strikes along it!

I sure am glad I don't have to deal with the earthquakes and tremors anymore. I don't miss them at all. I can remember walking home from high school (in Garden Grove Cali) and the earth starting moving and swaying under my feet. Give me a tornado anytime !! At least you can normally find some place to run and hide from them

Back side of Travis would put you near the Explosives Factory. Of course little further west puts you closer to Jelly Belly or better still Budwieser!

I'd be just up the road a bit ... near "the mall" in Sacramento.
