Hopefully everything is still fine for
StJoeFanatic. In one PM she sent me she wrote that at her workplace she's in front of a computer a whole lot, so you just have to be careful how much time you spend in front of one each day. You can wind up with stiff shoulders, a stiff neck, and sore wrists if you overdo it. So I think that's one reason why StJoeFanatic hasn't been around here as much as of late--trying to avoid getting afflicted with any of these things. Could be too that after a long work day she wants to spend more time with her better half.
Her new house sounds like it's everything she could want! StJoeFanatic's old house had windows that wouldn't open and close, so she told me how great it is that she can breathe nice fresh air when the weather isn't too cold outside. The new neighborhood is REALLY quiet too.

Her old one, when I drove by, didn't seem noisy either, but she was on a somewhat busier residential street. The house in St. Joe I'm eyeballing is on a somewhat busy street too, but it has a pretty large front yard so I don't expect the noise from cars going by to get intrusive if we're blessed enough to be able to buy it.
Wouldn't it just be great if we all wound up as neighbors? I haven't heard from
alexisnicolem in some time--I should send her a PM too--but the latest skinny with her and the Mr. is that they're back to looking at St. Joe as opposed to closer to KC to live. So Karey Bear, just let me know if I can give you any additional St. Joe info over and above what I've shared here previously. I just love it there. I'm sorry I couldn't've spent more time there back in September. I know my wife will flip when she gets to see it for the first time. Parks, the parkway greenbelt and its walking/bike trails, museums, great old buildings and mansions, the river walk, eating at Jerre Anne's (StJoeFanatic totally recommends it; it's the oldest family restaurant in town, I understand). A whole gaggle of geese at Krug Park greeted me by honking loudly. I told them I'd bring food with me the next time.

The old churches in town are lovely too. What a tragedy it would have been if Twin Spires had gotten the wrecking ball. Now it's open for tours, weddings and other events.
On my way to St. Louis I whizzed by Macon along Hwy. 36 so I couldn't get a good idea of what Macon is like. But I can't imagine you not liking St. Joseph, at least to visit. 74,000 residents, and the place "where the Pony Express began and Jesse James ended."
