The family and I will be camping and deep frying our bird in the Mojave. Our Tradition.

 Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. May your turkeys be cooked just right, your taters mashed, your salad tossed your cranberries be sauced or anything else you cook turn out perfect.
Some of us will still here be tomorrow........ airports don't close and people still need Police, Fire and Ambulance on holidays. So enjoy the day, don't eat too much and we will see ya'll when you get back.

kbear - nope, don't have to move; just drive ~1 hour instead of 30 minutes each way. But, be worth it - get out of the political and union/management bs was infected with there. Anyhow, trust and hope all of yas doing good! bentcrew - hope ya bring back some  Mojave photos back!  NWV - thanks for the invite

1 hour that is a lot of driving but as long as you Happy.... Man gas going to eat you but that ok because you J-O-B.... Glad you not moving.... We like you to stay for awhile in Missouri.

Just wrote about this in the Missouri Thanksgiving thread. Your daughter is going to make all of us very proud--and profoundly grateful. That should go for all the women and children in Afghanistan as well.
As much as you can, keep us posted on how she does over there! We are absolutely 100 percent behind the two of you here in the MO forums. Prayers for and Godspeed to her as she gets "in country" over in Afghanistan. What is her first name, if it's OK for me to ask?

Hey you all I have a Question? I never lived this cold of a climate. Do I need to keep my thermometer at a certain temp so my pipes don't burst. I have a basement that isn't very well insulated and I can't keep it warm down in the basement where the heater and furnace is. So do you think I still need to keep the upper part of the house at a certain temperature? Thanks Karey
