I couldn't figure out what was going on. I started to turn on the light and out of the kitchen walks my 3 kids from Branson!!!!!!!!!! They brought all their presents and my 3 grandsons. They couldn't stand Mom and Dad being so upset and so lonely Christmas. BOY DO I BELIEVE IN SANTA CLAUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just had to let you all know.
Merry Christmas to all of you !!!!!!!!!

Thank you country and poconoproud for your kind comments. It is so true about this time of the year or any special occasion that reminds of those no longer nearby or any drastic changes in our lives. We feel sad and sometimes just don't have the will to pick ourselves up and carry on. This was just to let others know that there are many of us that can relate and are here to help and/or listen.
Now for Very Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year to All.

Complications from the surgery range from excessive bleeding, to permanent short term memory loss, to the point of having to keep a notebook and the possibility that she could forget her husband or children! She is going to New York to see a specialist right after the 1st...
If anyone has knowledge of a surgeon that has done multiple surgeries on colloid cysts, please forward the info. I am on the search for the worlds best!!
Later my friends!

Thanks for giving us the latest skinny on Kim; be assured we're still lifting our prayers up to her, her DH and whole family. I just did a Google search, not having any idea of specific surgeons who have performed colloid cyst surgeries, and came up with New York Presbyterian Hospital http://www.nyp.org/health/colloid-cyst.html. Don't know if this will help at all, but you can try dialing 1-877-NYP-WELL for this hospital's referral information. You may have tried this already, but just in case....Keep us posted, OK?

Heartfelt Thanks
NBE, I appreciate your help!
Kim is scheduled with a Dr from there, next Tuesday!! We have found that the leading specialist in this field is a 72 yr old Dr from Australia. He recommended a Dr Tios, that he trained, that is at NY-Pres.! She is seeing a Dr at Univ of Arkansas Mon., then flying from Little Rock to NY. So far, all the Drs she has seen, say the surgery needs to be done asap! I will definitely let you know what we hear.
Thanks for all your prayers!
May this be your best year ever! Happy 2008!

I love catching up. Jd congrats on haveing the family down that is a neat story. My mom called this year the year of reunion. So many people seem to be finding each all around us. Or just getting to be together again.
Said a little prayer for Kim. We must all think only positive things despite the doctors. God is a God of miracles.
Update on my reunion. My nephew went back home the other day. He plans on moving out to Cali with us till we can move back to Mo with him. LOL! Thats his goal anyway. SUre would be nice. Soon as I get pics I will post'em

I'm getting very misty-eyed here.... I want to wish you, Lake Junkie, a very happy 2008, and may it be full of many opportunities to nibble on more crab cakes with your fellow Over the Fence Coffee Club folks. And sell lots of real estate to very happy ex-Californians and others down in SW MO.
And a very Happy New Year to all of you! Can't outdo LJ's use of smileys and emoticons, that's for sure.
