Great site LJ!!
Great picture kshe!
You guys all be careful with that darn ice. I'd rather have 2 feet of snow than a 1/2 inch of ice any day!
We've actually gone three days in a row with no new snow.
We should arrive in Rocky Mount, two weeks from tomorrow!!!
Have great weekend everyone!

Janet - I about fell out of my chair... just saw your web site [great, btw!] and read the saying there by one of my heroes, the same quote that I've used for a few years on another forum: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." – Mark Twain

Random thoughts on a Saturday:
No posts on the Kansas City sub-forum since 2/14!
I went over 2,000 posts so it is time for me to get some work done.
I need to turn off the computer and stop posting for a little while

Yes, this is such an inspiring saying. I know from first hand experience how true. But when you are older than dirt, not much ya can do about it. Except instill in your children and grandchildren this message and hope that they will see some dreams come true through efforts taken and not put in a drawer that remains unopened.

Soup!
Today is a sad day...I have been playing poker with the same bunch of guys for several years. Well, the night before last we lost one of our group. He had been out with friends, complained about heartburn and went home. He was found the next morning by friend, evidently he had a heart attack sometime during the night. He was on his living room floor, gone.
So, please say a prayer for my friend Brian Simpson and his family, we all called him Soup. Soup had been thru some tough times recently, lost his job, got divorced and kind of bounced around from one friend's couch to the next for a while. He finally landed a good job about 6 months ago and was turning things around.
Thru all the tough times I never saw him lose his spirit, he always had a smile for a friend. Soup was saved so he is in a better place but he left us all way too soon, he was 45.
Enjoy every day folks because it could be your last! Life is a fleeting thing.

Sympathy for your loss, and his other friends and family. You are right, life is fleeting, I know. My Daddy left us at 43 yoa. Way too young. Prayers for his soul and for your sadness.
