2012 Missouri " Show-Me Green" tax free weekend (Rea: sales, appliances)

Section 144.526.1 creates the "Show-Me Green Sales Tax Holiday." Beginning in 2009, during a seven day period starting on April 19th and ending April 25th, sales of qualifying Energy Star certified new appliances will be exempt from state sales tax. Local jurisdictions can choose to participate in the Show-Me Green Sales Tax Holiday.

Did you know that a lot of the electric Co-op's are giving rebates on these same appliances? Really helps out a lot if you need new ones!!

AND our electric compay GAVE us a hot water heater. We couldn't believe it!
LOL We kept asking what's the catch. they said they knew we were being energy efficent if we used their tank. And they were right.
