Default I protest!

This Rep point thing is getting out of hand IMO. Four threads about this stuff. These threads do nothing to help anyone searching for info about Mo.
I thought these reppoints were to be so as that anyone could look at the rep points and then have a benchmark as to the qualIty of the information a person is posting.
Sure thing is if you don't like a thread then just ignore it; but why should people have to wade thru all these threads? Please just lump them into one. This way persons serious about giving good info won't be confused with those just having a good time. Overall i think it denegrates the power of this forum.IMO

I am sure this post will make me a few friends but as i say! The facts maam; just the facts.

Well! I liked voyagers idea of haveing the chatterbox thread! Why not keep that thread for chaterboxes like me and maybe one rep point thread. I dont know.
I dont know IMO is. I dont even know what a flame is for that matter.
I do know the Mo members are quick to answer any posts for people with serious concerns. No neglect on thier part whatsoever.

I am not PO'd at anyone at all. There is specific info in the data that you read before posting and it IMO says that we cannot be doing this. I am not trying to be an old meany head at all. Let's use an example

Joe from California might come to Mo for a job and to live. I doubt that he wants to read all the warm huggy stuff. Sure friendships are great; but Joe doesn't have time for that. He needs good information quick! Where will he go; whe he can't get it here?
We all make mistakes and i have had made many and i cannot imagine that anyone participating in the Rep threads is meaning to cause any problem at all.
As i said before i think the Rep threads denigrate the value of this forum. I myself will look at a thread that is labled "Time to Pass the Torch" Great for those involved with Rep posting but means nothing to Joe from California. You cannot tell from the thread title what it is until you open it up.
When you don't stick to your business model then you might very well soon be out of business.

Default Versatile

It was 4 posts, you are quite correct friend. With one thread almost leaving the first page. Now with this thread, you have made it 5.
And with the number of threads allowed on one page surely this cannot be a hinder as you are stating, otherwise the Moderator would have seen fit to do just that. And perhaps will read this now, and do just that,
But I have to ask, why did you not suggest they be combined? And also why did you not post this on one of the other threads? You already posted in one asking a question?

And I give credit to the MO members with the amount of help, patience, and sincerity they give to each person who comes to this forum seeking help. I've yet to see someone that was not helped, good or bad. Everything else stops to help those that come to this forum looking for some help and answers.

And nobody thinks you are a meany head, lol.

People rarely come to a message board looking for help fast unless they have been here before, and then they already know to use the search feature, or start a thread in reference to the kind of help they want.
The MO forum is not exactly booming on a daily basis with a huge influx of new members looking for info. And as I pointed out the MO existing members are quick to react with any and all help they can give.

With the large amount of posts on MO topics, and the small amount of posts off topic, I feel this could be considered a little bit of an over reaction.

Versatile,
I always look and read peoples posts before I answer with a post to see if they are defensive, hostile, or aggressive in their posts in anyway. If you read any of my posts you will find they are lacking in that department, and I think you will find the same with bentaxlecrew's posts also.
It's all good friend,

bent.....IMHO is in my honest opinion
and do not worry what a flame is, you are nothing of the sort!

Stay on topic. Attempts to hi-jack threads by switching topics or going off topic will be deleted and infractions issued. This is not a chat room - when people hi-jack threads by posting messages that are of interest to only few people, the threads often stop being useful discussions of initial topics.

As the terms of use say" This is not a chat room".
Do any of the other state forums do this Rep Posting stuff?

Yes, I have read the TOS my friend, thank you kindly. And it has much more in it, which Everyone should abide by. That is why I always look to myself first before I start throwing stones at others,

Ok MO peeps have a very lovely day friends.
