...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER EXPECTED INTO THE WEEKEND...

UNSEASONABLY DRY CONDITIONS OVER THE PAST TWO TO THREE MONTHS HAVE
LED TO MODERATE TO SEVERE DROUGHT CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION. THE
COMBINATION OF VERY DRY VEGETATION...DAYTIME HIGHS IN THE UPPER 90S
TO LOWER 100S...AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES...WILL CREATE AN
ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK AND INTO THE
WEEKEND.

BURN BANS ARE IN EFFECT IN NUMEROUS LOCATIONS...INCLUDING THE
MISSOURI STATE CONSERVATION AREAS. PERSONS ARE URGED TO CHECK WITH
LOCAL AUTHORITIES CONCERNING LAWS AND REGULATIONS REGARDING OUTDOOR
BURNING IN THEIR AREA. EVEN IF NOT PROHIBITED...ANY OUTDOOR BURNING
SHOULD BE DONE WITH EXTREME CARE IF NOT POSTPONED ALL TOGETHER.

BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS WITH CIGARETTES...MATCHES...BAR-B-Q PITS...
FIREWORKS AND ANY OTHER OPEN FLAMES OR SPARKS. THESE WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR RAPIDLY SPREADING GRASS AND BRUSH
FIRES.
