Anybody out there know about Stover
I'm retired man with young Cambodian wife seriously thinking about rural home near Stover. What about life in this area. What kind of reception can I expect from Stover residents ? Thanks

You will love it there and no problems. You are not far from the lake. Not much night life if that is something you are wondering about and not any shopping. You will have to drive to Jeff City or Columbia or Osage Beach for shopping.

Also want to say, the residents of Stover are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. You are also about 2 hours from Kansas City.

Stover is a great place for children. Good schools and community. I taught school in Stover for two years in the 50's. My parents lived there for over eighty years. ss// ed kennedy

Please be very wary of anyone providing a service for monetary compensation. They will lie right to your face. Stover has quite a few meth houses. And the neighbors won't tell you, the police won't tell you, the MO Public Health Dept. won't tell you, Stover city officials may bring it up after you buy the house, but then in the future, they will deny ever saying that. If you buy or rent anything in Missouri, you should demand the home/apt./mobile home be tested for methamphetamine residue. Trust No 1. Talk is worthless, you need to see proof on paper You can get a meth test kit at datachemlabs.com Good Luck and be wary. Not paranoid, just cautious.
