This is a very good thing. Just think if all 35 million people in California loved Missouri. Divide that number by half and you've got 17.5 million of those who would love Missouri enough to want to move there. That would cause an awful lot of traffic congestion on Interstates 29, 35, 44, 55 and 70, not to mention hyperinflated real estate prices and a general atmosphere of insanity in the state capital (budgets horribly out of balance as one example, but I digress). So using California as an example, let those who think Missouri is just flyover country persist in their mistaken belief and allow the rest of us who think Missouri really is beloved to go out and enjoy that much more of it (unless there's a tornado warning).

If you care to, click on my name, and then click on "Find All Posts by northbayeric." You'll find that for over the past year, I've been receiving information from a whole array of very helpful Missouri posters, many of whom used to live in California." My wife and I have been actively planning on moving back to St. Joseph for this duration. I've made two trips to St. Joe, one this past September and our second and most recent one just a month and a half ago.

Basically, California has become a 158,000 square mile outdoor Rumpus Room. Seriously, where we live at in the north San Francisco Bay Area, it's expensive, an increasingly lousy place to try to raise a family--and the real estate market is totally in the dumper at this point. We've had our house up for sale since this past November.

So....I'm currently five states west of Missouri, and have been working mightily to rectify this lamentable situation.
