Question Is it just us from Mo or nationwide or just Monday?

Yesterday morning i posted:

Missouri Teacher of the year

A thread about the Mo. Teacher of the year. The thread got 10 reads nd no replies. Not one reply about her,the article or education. Why? Just a Monday? Not many posts yesterday. Several about food or demographics etc.

Why? How about, why would anyone care about the teacher of the year? It has nothing to do with our kids' schools; the chances of a forum member's kids being taught by that particular teacher are slim. Teacher of the year has nothing to do with politics, education funding, or the best teaching methods to be applied in schools. The article itself is bare of any details for anyone to comment on; there is no reason listed for *why* that teacher was selected over the others. There is no mention of her outstanding achievements. There is nothing whatsoever to say about the article. It is just a mention of a name and a place, meaningless. Maybe you should look for a longer, more in-depth article on the subject to post.

Sure thing there. You are definitely a non caring person about our world. You come across as a young uncaring person that wouldn't care what happens unless to you alone. I wish you well.

Seems that you are new. HOW ABOUT YOU STARTING A THREAD OF SOME GREATNESS?

I don't see why you feel the need to be sarcastic. I was just trying to honestly answer your question. People tend to care more about news that personally affects them. I thought you were actually asking for advice. In which case, I don't see where advising you to look for a longer, more detailed article is being overly critical.

I'm sorry if it made you feel criticized; it wasn't intended. People are going to have a hard time finding something to say about an article that gives few details and little info. If you take that personally and get offended, that's fine. Or, you could take it as it was meant, as legitimate advice, and try to make sure you've found the article with the most details in the future

There ya go, another look and a comment. And a question to boot. But I wouldn't worry about lack of commentary. It's not the kind of thing to generate comments.
