She's right...
Yes, on the south side of Table Rock Lake there's some good ground too.

Southern Missouri is much more scenic than middle Missouri. I'd say go for Branson.

Stockton Lake is great. The land around there is a little flatter and more open fields than around Lake of the Ozarks. It is a smaller lake but great fishing for small mounth and walley. There is also Pomme De Terre Lake close by. It is smaller than Stockton but has Muskie in it and great bass and crappie fishing. I have friends that have a dariy farn around there and family that raise beef cattle by Lake of the Ozarks.

It had muskie back in the 80's when I lived in MO. That may have changed but it was stocked at one time. I saw some of the photos back then. Really nice fish were in the lake then. I never caught anything but bass personally and only fished there once. When Truman opened it was closer and bigger.

When I lived in MO Stockton had the rep as the best bass lake. That was a long time before Truman matured. Truman is over 25 now so maybe it is much better. It also may have taken some pressure off of Stockton. It's much bigger to support more numbers too. Just farther away from Branson and Harrison. We need some of the locals to help us out here??? Where are you hiding? Please, we will keep those honey holes a secret too... I'm want place a bet but it seems that PdT is a colder lake, hence the muskies. There is more farming around Stockton and that appeals to me. I'm looking for much of the same as the OP.

I did some research and found out that Pomme De Terre does indeed have muskie. I can't believe that I didn't know that, living as close as I do. Silly me!
