I had to do quite a bit of digging in order to find info for last year. It actually predicted a cold winter and a milder spring for early 2007. But my goodness, what a cold snap there was back in April!
Any good sledding toys sales going on back there just yet?

Well compared to the Donner Summit and Oregon's Crater Lake, most of Missouri just has to contend with a few flurries during the winter! Actually when it snows, it's generally no more than about 3 to 4 inches at a time unless there's a real blizzard, which is pretty rare.
How I longed to see white Christmases in St. Louis when I grew up back there! But I almost always had to wait till January before seeing any significant snow. Christmases were usually just cold and dry.

This past winter I think areas south of Kansas City received anywhere between 25-35 inches of snow. It was a good snow season in some areas of the state.

Don't forget the long-handled ice scraper with the brush on the end-used more often than the snowblower around here!

We frequently get just a "flurry" of snow, just enough to obscure visibility and wet enough to stick to the windows. This stuff just packs up under the wiper blades. It's a lot better to use the scraper brush to clear your windows than your coat sleeve.

you crack me up KB! Those scrapers should be in the automotive section at wally world. They are about a foot and a half/two feet long with a sharp plastic scraper on one end and some stiff brush bristles on the other. If you wait til the first snowstorm they will be guaranteed to be sold out EVERYWHERE!! Might want to pick up a couple of squirt bottles of "de-icer" stuff too. It works great on the icy windshields in the am.
