Default info on Bible camp

Does anyone know what happened to Wil Braun who used to own the Arcadia
Bible camp. It was right behind the Lake Killarney resort.

I spent many days there and we are planning to get a week end place somewhere in that area. It has a special place in my heart.

God Bless
Patti

Hi, Patty!

I have no personal knowledge of what you're asking about at all but I did google it and learned that he is the editor of Geez Magazine. Here's a link to their About page: http://www.geezmagazine.org/about/

You can get his email address there, too. I started to post it here but since there are so many spammers out there, I thought I'd better remove it.

It doesn't say anything about the camp that I saw in my quick visit but I know you can email him to find out about it. I'm curious, though...whereabouts in MO was this place supposed to be? Sounds like you had a memorable time there. I hope you are able to discover another spiritual mountain soon!

Blessings!

Smile RE; Bible Camp

Mrs.G.

Thank you for replying to my post. This Bible Camp was in
Arcadia MO.

Lake Killarney is in the same area, as a matter of fact we used to walk
to Lake Killarney from the Bible Camp. It sits right behind Lake Killarney.

I will look it up. I thought that maybe someone reading this would have
been there during all the years it was open. I believed Wil sold it in
middle or late 80's. Bought it in the 40's .

It was a fun place, can still hear the chapel bell ringing thru the trees
time to get to the chapel. We could hear the piano playing as we made our way there.

Even now I have a tear in my eye, as I think back on one of the happiest
times of my life. Yes it was a special time.

God Bless
Patti

I know what you mean, Patti! I am grateful to have so many wonderful memories of my time spent "on the mountain" with God!

Have you contacted any of the towns around? I hope someone is able to help you find what you are looking for.

Blessings!

MrsG

Hi Patty,

I believe you are talking about Will Brunk. He and his wife Edna ran the camp for many years.
Edna was my father's sister, and I remember spending many good times at the camp. Both Edna and Will have passed, but leave many lives they touched through their ministry at the camp.

When were you at arcadia we may have been there together?
I always went back there to see Will and Edna. Even from
California even now I have tears of joy when I think of the
music coming from the chapel as we walked the dusty path to get there.

Thank you for telling me about Will and Edna they are indeed reaping
their rewards they sure gave everything they had to the Lord.

I will look them up as soon as I get to heaven, there will be many from
that camp in heaven many kids accepted the Lord there.

Thanks again
Patti
