Default looking for weekender for sale Arcadia Mo

I love Arcadia area, would like to find a cabin aka week-ender since
we cannot move there right now. Just to get away and enjoy the peace
of the hills and lakes and be away from all the pressure. I use to live
in Californai, would fly the kids in to Arcadia stayed at the Lake Killarney
Lodge, the kids would paddle boat in the same lake I did as a child.

They loved it, coming from California with few trees lots of traffic.
The kids did not know a place like this existed.

I spent a lot of time there as a teenager at Arcadia Bible camp.

The people there are great, I am sure I should be able to find some old friends there.

Hey Patti

Amazing.....here I sit at my computer at home on Killarney Drive. I live on the far side of the hill behind the boat dock & swimming beach. Did you know the Hickmans who lived here in the 60s & 70s? I think they built/owned my house originally.

There's several properties for sale here at the lake, I'd be glad to forward something if you're still looking....what price range, etc?

Tim

My father and his family were born and raised in Arcadia, Mo. I heard stories about their lives there during the depression. My great grandparents are buried in a Pilot Knob Cemetery.
Is the Arcadia area built up now. I've never been there but would love to see it.

Tim,
I do not remember the name a couple that had moved from New York
bought the resort, they had 5 children and they loved the lake and all.

Went back later and they had gotton a divorce she married a realator that had bought that area so maybe thats who it was.

There is a path beside the dam that goes back into the camp it was a neat place.

I still have not been able to get there but keep looking for property. There were a lot of people that had builded there from New York one build a hi rise type, we laughed it was a house but he build it high so he could see the view. I just now read your post there isn't much work there is there.

Patti
