Default Palmyra, Missouri. Pros, Cons, Schools

My family and I are relocating to the Palmyra area for employment reasons.

Can anyone pass on the Pros/Cons of the Palmyra area? We are also wondering about the Public Schools in Palmyra. How are they? I noticed Quincy has some catholic schools as well. Does anyone know much about these - that may be a post directed towards Quincy.

Thanks for any informtion.

My former address was Palmyra, Mo., so can say that I think you are making a very good move. I believe you will find the people there to be quite friendly and helpful in many ways. The schools have a lot of pride, good teachers, and are progressive in many areas. Quincy does indeed have some catholic schools, don't know about them first hand.
This is a small rural area with a lot to offer if you like to know your neighbors well. Mark Twain Lake is near by as is Hannibal, a bit larger town. Good hospitals in Hannibal, Mo. and Quincy, Ill. across the river.
