MArble Hill, Missouri -High Speed Internet Options?
Hi! I am moving to Marble Hill, Missouri. The new location does not have ATT DSL access due to the distance of location as I currently use. Does anybody have any ideas for affordable DSL or High Speed Internet for that area???? Any ideas greatly apprecaited!

check out the internet. you may be in the centurytel phone system, if that is the case, they will do a three way bundle for you. this bundle package is: unlimited long distance, high speed internet, satellite (this can be wireless). Dish and Direct offer high speed internet and I think they now offer phone bundles too. get on the net and type in Dish, Direct or Centurytel, they can respond to you with the latest info.

I am still checking. centurytel does not appear to be in our new area. Still looking for options though!

you are probably gonna have to go with cable or a satellite set up. I know Dish Network and Hughesnet offer satellite high speed that is widely available but it would be less money and higher speed with cable if offered in your area

I checked the cable company in the area, but they only offer TV at the moment. Said in 6 months they might have cable internet. No gurantees. I looked at hughesnet - they are pretty high in price from what I can tell .

yes the satellite service is expensive for what you get plus you have to purchase or lease the equipment. I know Dish Network (wildblue) is less than Hughesnet. Bottom line is satellite or dial up until cable comes to town

I am beginning to believe this may be correct. I have looked into all kinds of things. I even looked into a wireless type thing from Verizon, ect... Didn't look feasable to me. I think dish net may be cheapest at the moment for high speed as well.
If anybody knows of a less expensive method please let me know!

I am the local RadioShack Dealer in Marble Hill. We sell and install WildBlue Internet and have had very good luck with it. We've installed over 50 in Bollinger County and so far everyone has been happy with it. We're currently averaging one system a day with no advertising. Everyone is so happy with it they tell their friends and family about it and they come in and sign up.
The price is $199 ($214.69 with tax) upfront and $50 per month for the 512 kbs download package. Other package prices and more info are available on our website Welcome to Technology-One RadioShack in Marble Hill, MO

Thanks so much for the response on this. I was actually able to get SBC DSL after talking with the phone company on several occasions. They had said I was out of the area, but it proved wrong. Thanks again though!
