Thank you CNBC. Keep the riff raff back from whence they come. Discourage them from contributing to the sprawl, crowding traffic, crime, etc. So nice of someone from Alaska to point out our supposed failings, especially as he seems to have a "thing" about the state. Probably couldn't make it here.

Too late, I'm California born and raised and moved to KC in 2012. I love it here and I'm encouraging all my gay, pot-smoking, Obama-loving liberal friends to move to Missouri. What's your hometown again?

This thread should be deleted, based on what the OP said; Its trying to demean Missouri in order to keep out "Californians". Not helpful for citydata at all.

People who don't like "outsiders" and new ideas hold this state back. Thankfully, most of them live in dinky towns across the countryside. I wouldn't want them influencing more forward thinking, welcoming places like KC, STL, and CoMO. I wish Missouri's southern border was at Rolla; always some folks from the countryside embarrassing this state! Outside of the I-70 cities and the lakes, this state leaves ALOT to be desired.

I'm venting because I'm just tired of the meth, narrow roads, and reluctance to change and improve in Missouri. his could be a great state, but some people don't want it to be...

Actually, in many ways it is a great state, even out here in the boonies. It's just not all city, thank goodness. We'uns in those "dinky towns across the countryside" like it that way and lack the obvious snob value of the city-slickers. Y'all keep welcoming all comers.

Are you actually a troll from Kansas?

No need to worry; those Californians aren't moving to your part of the state. Their moving to the big cities. You know, the places that actually DONT leave alot to be desired. The nice places. Most of them aren't interested in whacky, methed up towns.

Southern Missouri pride!! Yep the border should be stopped at rolla to keep all the crime and gang activity up there in the "big cities". Southern Missouri is the best part of the state to live in!!!
