Well it's happened alot faster than we thought, and to a different location in MO but my husband got offered a great job in Blue Springs! Yippeee! So, he'll be moving first in about 30 days to some temporary housing in Concordia and then I'll come out March 1st. Originally we wanted to live in and around Columbia but that doesn't work with his job in Blue Springs. So, in some initial research it looks like Lees Summit and eastern surrounding areas would be a good choice for us as compared to Columbia area. I also liked the looks of Excelsior Springs - what's the buzz there and the commute like to KC? In fact, what's the commute like into and out of KC from the surrounding communities I mentioned above (Lees Summit and surrounding eastern towns) We still need good schools and a large home with 5+ acres.
As soon as the holidays have passed let the packing begin! Ick! I'll miss Massachusetts (New England) terribly but it will be so nice to be close to family ![]() Thanks all :0) |

For the 5 acre property you're looking for you may want to consider western Lafayette County in the Bates City, Odessa and Oak Grove area. That would be very close to Blue Springs via I-70.
