Hi.

Came across Malta Bend in a New York Times article.

Can anyone tell me the origins of this name?

spfd4um is on a distinguished road
Malta Bend is named after a bend in the Missouri River that is nearby. This bend is sorrounded on 3 sides by the Missouri. The River has brought it very fertile soil the the area. The actuall town is very small.

Malta is a very small island in the Med. The US and the Maltese have history together
