I've never been to any drive-in in poplar bluff, just the one between Van Buren and Ellington, and the one outside Piedmont.
If we watch a movie in the bluff it's usually at the theater.
My Dad said the Bluff's drive-in has been gone for a long time.

I haven't been down there. The farthest out there I usually go is the theater, and even that isn't often.

Of course!!!!
Thanks for all the info folks!
It's a shame that on the list ShadowCaver posted the dead ones far outweigh the operating ones. But there are a few spread around. That's good.

Soooo.... Was it one of those wrought iron fences with the narrow gaps you had to try to slip through?? At least with the grease you wouldn't get yourselves stuck...

I remeber that 270 Drive-In. Was it that one on the north side of 270 east of New Halls Ferry?? My family lived in Florrisant for a brief stint back in the early 80s... And I remember another one. I think it was in the same area, but south of 270. That's were we saw a double feature "E.T. and "Flash Gordon" Were there two different ones, or am I thinking of the same one Eric?

Right, it was on the north side of 270 by...I want to say the West Florissant Ave. exit. I don't remember any others except the old Route 66 drive-in somewhere near I-44 that might have still been open when I was really young, but I don't think I ever saw any movies at it.

Drive in Moberly!!!
I live in Macon and have a drive in but it over grown in weeds and the building looks like it is going to fall down but we do have a drive in Moberly and I will be taking my girls there for their first experience when the place opens up for the season because who knows how long that one is going to stay in business. Although these people are smart because they also have an indoor theatre as well for the off season and bad cold weather as well.

The Moberly 5 and Drive is still located in Moberly and still holds the KMIZ Friday specials. We go frequently and the kids love it. They took out the play equipment in front of the screen, but the kids still have a huge field to play in before the movie starts.
