Yah, it was quite the experience for this ol' gal. It's just a good thing I didn't know what I was gettin' myself into. hahahahaha But, I guess it just shows to go ya.....you can take the girl out of CA, but ya can't take CA outta the girl! LOL (I still bust up laughing when I think about it) LMAO!!! At least I've thawed out now. hehehehe

They clear the snow down to the pavement in no time there  Snow is handled efficiently and quickly plowed unlike areas much further south.  Sorry, but it is true

Hahahaa!  No need to apologize, Plains10! In fact, I'm sure they do...and I'm glad they do! If they didn't, I bet the whole area could be messed up for weeks!  I know one thing I've found out around here...if you don't deal with snow quickly, you're likely to be walkin' on ice before long!

Here in Mid Missouri, MODOT generally does an excellent job of keeping our roads clear. Very proud of them. May take awhile for the individual county road depts. to get the job done, but even they have been known to stay on top of things.  When we have schools closed, it is mostly for the really heavy snowfalls and then late at night. Darn! Some times I have wished that they weren't so darn efficient. Esp. when I would rather have stayed home and played hooky from work..
