While da jammer's right, smithmi, and all that info IS good to know, here's a direct link to that rep thread for you:

I must admit...CD Forum isn't very good about posting these sorts of things. After all, they're only two years old and admittedly didn't create this as a friends and family type forum.

That being said, they can't seem to stop all of us from fallin' in love with the place and stickin' around for fun!

On the other hand, they're too busy doin' other more important stuff, it seems, and all these rep questions seem to get lost in the shuffle.
Reading that rep thread will help you understand about how to "give some rep(utation)" but it won't answer all your questions. I can't quite remember when I became a senior rep...I think at that time, it was at 50 points. Hopefully, someone will confirm if that was...and is...true.

There was probably some posting requirement, too...like you have to write a certain number of posts along with that rep score...again, I'm clueless as to the details anymore.
You have to be here awhile before you can give more than one rep out at a time. You don't really have any control over how many you give, though. Once you've reached 300 rep points and ? posts, for instance, you just automatically give more whenever you do it, whether just clicking on the blue + sign in the lower left corner (always anonymous) or by clicking on that (weighing) scales icon in the upper right hand corner, where you can also leave a note for the person and can sign your name, if you like. If you don't sign your name, they will have no idea who wrote the note, though...so you're safe if you still want to be anonymous. Just remember...if'n ya aren't nice, the powers-that-be will find out and you'll be hurtin' fer certain!

Ain't that right, ya'll???
Whew! I've done MY good deed for the day!

Oh! And looking at my computer clock, I see that it has only just begun!

Better get some sleep. Gnite, everyone! Hope your tomorrow...er...toDAY is a great one!
