Our roads are still ice covered in many places. Still unable to drive to the main highway. I enjoy the four seasons. Always have, just do not like ice. The woods take on a very pretty look with the ice covering everything, but, I still dont like it. The temp is 40 deg. right now so hopefully some of it will melt soon. Need to take care of some things...see y'all later. Have a god weekend.

Our road and looooonnnng driveway are still iced covered here too! Good thing there are two ways to get to town. When we were down feeding the horses the other day we went down to the creek just to see how fast it was running after the rain storm we had and the road from the creek up about 10 yards was all washed out. I don't think the county comes out and works on the road but maybe twice a year, so who knows how long it will be before the road can be driven over, even after the water goes down.
It's been raining here a little today but not to bad. It's about 35 degrees now.

Yep, I'm with you two...gotta have 4-wheel drive to get up our driveway still. My dh has been taking my SUV in to work a lot recently and the last few days, he said that Springfield was much warmer and cleared out than in our area. On Friday, when he got home, he said that Springfield was just fine and the roads all good but that when he hit Ozark and then out in our neck of the woods, he said it was much colder and was surprised to still see so much ice! This afternoon, he was still slipping around on our driveway and stuff. Isn't it weird that we're all still having ice issues when others from areas all around us aren't?

mrs G, sounds like you have a bit of a micro-climate going on there, we have a bit of that here, its usually 5-10 degrees cooler here at our house than the surrounding areas, which is a blessing in the summer!

Be safe.

We Had a bit of rain yesterday but not much. This morning it is REALLY windy out there.
I got up a 5:00am when I opened the dogs to let them out to "wizzle thier pizzles" they looked at me like I was one crazy woman. (oh wait. I am)
The lights even went out for a few seconds but came right back on.
It is suppose to be nice and sunny tomorrow unless they have changed that forecast. I need to do some laundry and get it on the line. So a few days without rain would be a blessing. I need some sunshine.
