Rain looks to be approaching by this afternoon with snow likely by tomorrow morning.
2-5 inches is possible.

Time to batten down the hatches...

BTW, does everyone know about Nexrad? If you have the bandwidth you can animate the map to watch the strom track.

Default Time to build the Ark

Thunder and lightening
I need my hammer and nails to build my ark!
I checked out nexrad. not a bad program.
I use accuweather for the radar. And it doesn't look like it's going to let up anytime soon.

I thought the one with the sun shining through the branches was beautiful.
Hope you enjoy.
Hahaha! Great pics, MamaG! I especially love the ice-covered cactus!!! At least YOU got a close up of the light and branches with the ice...something I only got from far away. I haven't had much time to be here in the forum for a few days but I will post at least one soon.

MrsG. thanks for the compliment on the pics.
I actually took the picture with the sunlight in the branches while standing at my kitchen window. The tree is just right outside.
DaHubby liked the one of the cactus. I did have to go outside for that one. And almost fell on my butt
DaHubby slipped and fell on the ice stepping off the porch and luckily didn't hurt himself. After I got done laughing at him. I turned around and did the same thing. I have enough padding on my rear end that I just bounced..lol

Our area is now a bog.
Around 1.3 inches of precip, followed by 4 inches of snow. Then the snow melted this afternoon leaving behind a ton of standing water. This winter has been fairly active in terms of good precip events.

just have to post this, we are on the verge of an H2O war right where I am, the river in dispute flows about 500 feet from my driveway, its the Ocklawaha, if anyone wants to google. They keep saying we are in a drought, but we just seem to have an over-abundance of humans. Y'all keep an eye on those rivers up there until I can get back home, dont want what is happening here to happen there!

Hahahaaa! Nothin' like a little humility, huh? I'm just glad you didn't fall on the cactus!!!

Okay, so here are a couple of my pics...

Here's a chilly sight that I took during the ice storm:

And here's an interesting shot of what that bench looked like underneath:

What a trip, huh?
