Psssst....Mrs. G.....confidentially....let's just say I was born and raised near St. Louie (but have lived in Cali longer than in MO)! Mrs. Northbayeric, on the other hand, is a born-and-bred Californian, but might have been a Missourian in another lifetime. At least a Missourian at heart!

Well, lucky you! A full-blooded Missourian!!! I had forgotten that you were born in STL, Eric!
Btw, my father was born in STL and my mother in Columbia, MO.

Now, you tell the Mrs that we won't hold it against her since most of us were born elsewhere, too!
My Mr and I were both born and raised in CA. He's even a 2nd Generation Californian!

Then he gained that wisdom that comes with age...
(singing now) ...aaand we loaded up the truck and we move to Missoureeee!

See? That's us! Hope ya'll are next, brothah! We'll leave the light on fer ya...jus' in case!

Love it, love it, looooooovvvvvvve it!!! Love that chapeau and pitchfork on the Mr., especially! It sounds like he's as happy as a lark back there, just like you. Now the rest of that ice just has to melt away so you don't have to play slip 'N slide getting to and from your house for another year.

.....loaded up the truck and we move to Missoureee! (Just like Moderator Boof) (Rolling) HILLS, that is...Caves and Rivers, Down-to-Earth Peeps! Yep, my mom was born in STL and my dad in the tiny little German settlement of St. Anthony, near Iberia in Miller County.

And thank you kindly for leavin' the light on for us....won't need to worry about Motel 6 havin' to do that. My dear better half and I are so glad it's just another month and a day before our trip to St. Joe! She is NOT going to want to make that return flight back here once our little vacation/fact-finding mission is over, that's for sure.

Now, ya'll come back now, ya hear?

MrsG, I think you might be Full Blooded Missourian by proxy. Sort of like being 'grandfathered' in. But what about me? Is there a clause that says if I'm here long enough I can claim to be full blooded??? Or maybe even just an 'honorary' Missourian? There's GOT to be a loophole somewhere, right??? hehehehehehe

Gotta love MO!!!!!

Talkin' to here myself make noise,
Boof

Thanks for the perfect complement to my song, Eric! I wasn't feelin' particularly inspired so I really appreciate it. The ice is officially gone and we're in for some lovely weather through Saturday.
Check out this weather report: Springfield, Missouri (65801) Conditions & Forecast : Weather Underground
Looks like we're gonna get weather on Sunday and Monday but it'll be warm enough that we're safe! Whew!

Hey, Boof! You're a shoe-in for Honorarian or just Missourian at Heart! Besides, anyone who ever meets you will love you and be glad you've chosen MO to be your home!

MrsG & Eric,

You two are too funny. I can almost visualize your little storyline. I can't wait to see how it ends! So, don't leave us hangin', ok?

Waitin' for more,
Boof
