I never said it was like that all summer. But all summer it is, on average, hotter than northern Missouri.

I think we had 1 day where it got to 90 last year. I live pretty far north. About 60 miles from the U.P. of Michigan. The humidity up here gets bad if we get over 80. We do not have air conditioning up here some do, but for the 5 or 6 days you might need it it does not seem to pay, you just put on a fan, sweat and pray for the cold front that will bring the storms, and after our 4 or 5 weeks of summer we prepare for the sub zero deep freeze. Many years the snow we get in october or november is the snow you get to see again in late april when all the other snow melts off from on top of it. If you ever live in WI DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING OUTSIDE YOU MIGHT WANT TO USE. The kids took the ice chopper in the back yard and it is somewhere under 3 feet of snow and ice. I had to go buy another, but I will get to see it again in late april or the way this year is going...perhaps may. It will be a bittersweet reunion indeed!!!!

The most snow we've gotten at one time all year is 3-4 inches, although we had plenty of sleet Monday and it hasn't completely melted yet. No school again tomorrow!

St. Louis got about 8 inches when we got 3-4.

Hi Berries,

Maybe it's time for a change. There are pros and cons to all locales, but you might like something different and if Missouri is too warm, maybe somewhere else, like Oregon, or Northern Pennsylvania would be a good match for you.
Your description of the snow in WI is really intense!

If there are any cattle or horses in Idaho (sorry, don't know much about Idaho except for the potatoes) how do you keep them from walking over the fences, when you have 4 feet of snow?

I have'nt seen a potatoe field once lol, they are down south.
Good question, I have'nt seen the cows or horses out in any of the fields I usually see them in so maybe they keep them near barns etc. My family used to have cows here and they had a hotwire fence but they still managed to get out sometimes. Our dog has jumped over our six foot fence, (the snow is high in some spots), four times now so now we have to take her out on a leash.
