Bates County Sutherland & Frisbie (Montrose: live, centers, office)

Can anyone tell me where I would look to find info on my ancestors? The paid searches I've done didn't help because I don't have enough info to start with. Sutherland, Frisbie and Young are my surnames. I have found where my great-great grandparents, great grandparents and my grandmother are buried, but how do I get more than that? All I know is that they lived in Bates county. My grandparents lived in Montrose. Thanks!

Where do you live? Fort Wayne, IN and Salt Lake City, UT are two large genealogy research centers, for example.

Have you access to genealogy/census databases?

A bit off the wall, but you might try the courthouse, for example at Clerk and talk w/ ppl there, as sometimes they can have a wealth of info themselves and/or know who in the area might know of related folks.

Thank you for trying to help! I have accessed every data base I know that exists, even ones in Scotland. And I have talked to the Clerk's office. I've found some info, just not as much as I would like.

I might be able to help you. I was born and raised in Montrose. My family has lived there for several generations. Who are your grandparents? Also, Montrose is located in Henry county.
