There's pretty few rentals in Ashland since it's so small. I had a friend who looked into the area because she was going to school in Columbia and her boyfriend was working in Jefferson City and they thought it'd be a happy medium. they weren't able to find anything suitable for them.

I looked on craigslist and they have one listing: 912B James Ct, $675, 3 bed, 2 baths, All Appliances, W/D Included, garage, Ashland!! PETS NEG - All types of units (broken link)

I live in Ashland and there are several units on the street that I live on for rent N&K Rentals talk to Kim 573-657-4090. They have alot of units availible.
