Hi, kshe! I wouldn't worry too much. As I recall, it is so much more crazy when you arrive than you ever think it will be and there are so many difficulties in getting hooked up and online that it's actually quite understandable. I'm sure he's goin' through some serious CD Withdrawal by now and will be here soon.

I'll be leaving my job here so we're just waiting for me to drop my job (ie medical insurance) before his insurance picks up. Don't want to have to pay COBRA insurance premiums for a few months .....and don't want to be without insurance

Oooh! Goood mooove! I can tell somebody's been usin' the ol' noggin! It's just temporary...so good for you for keepin' your eye on your goal. A little sacrifice for the common good is actually a good thing, I think. Hopefully, your dh is sending you plenty of pics and stuff.
Forgive me for not knowing (or remembering?) but I wonder if it is just the two of you moving out here or if there are kids involved. Would you care to enlighten me? I think it's still on topic...but if I'm wrong, someone just let me know and we'll just wait quietly until r8rfan returns with an update. (Drummin' my fingers on the desk while I wait here...)

We have an almost 3 year old son and one furry four-legged son Apparently we have a resident outside cat at the new house - don't know if the previous owners left him behind or he's just a friendly cat - should be interesting when my dog gets there - he does not like cats!

So while we're waiting for r8r - I'm looking for a little inspiration/guidance. Hubby has advised he's just been put on a big project and may have trouble coming to get us next month. He wants ME to drive my Jeep Grand Cherokee and tow our 21' boat from Mass to MO to finish up the move! I want to be brave and do this to help him out but I've never towed ANYTHING in my life. Any advice or inspiring stories to share?
It would be me, my 3 yr old son, a dog and 21 foot Penn Yan boat - my sister volunteered to come along as company.
