I need those prayers thank you Eric. So many things I would like to handle quickly so as to sooner make the move to Mo. A good job is the best thing for me. One where I can be transferred on over. Thats my goal! I put it all in his hands.
Im still smiling.

Keep smiling bentaxlecrew....I take it you haven't heard from 'them' yet, one way or the other. Stay positive, please. Easy for me to say, you may think, but what's meant to be will happen. You have done your part. Now give it a day or so and then, call 'them' and let 'them' know that you are still interested and how soon will they make a decision.

We all went through a very tough screening process. Has to be that way. Don't let negative thinking put you in a funk. Most of us, if not all, would admit to not getting certain jobs that we had applied for. If this doesn't work out for you, keep going. You made it this far. I remember many not even having an interview! Head up girl, happy thoughts and take care. You'll get yours. Good luck and God bless.

I'm sure you did just fine in your interview bentaxlecrew.
I think everyone has a few skeleton's in their closets and even the person that was giving you the interview probably has a few, so don't sweat it.
Good luck.

Default Glad you asked!

A "petstock" is the benefit I'm having for the Humane Society this Sunday! It is our 3rd annual! I even did a commercial yesterday, with 2 little cuties from the shelter. They were very cute, and I hope they get adopted! I hated to take them back!
If you have the vacation channel, you would be able to see me, "Mystic" and "Tinklebell" on there, all week! I posted about it on the events thread awhile back, but I don't want to push my luck by plugging it TOO much. But, if you happen to be in Kimberling City this wekend, stop by Ahoy's Restaurant and see and hear some really good music, for a REALLY good cause!

I'm pretty bummed, tho, cos that new show my husband started is NOT PAYING!! We are $1000's of dollars in the hole! And, it looks like we may have to sue to get it! Thank goodness his agent has a lawyer on retainer!
And a really Good thing he got ANOTHER job in the Eagles Tribute band, Take It To The Limit at RFD!! If you get a chance, come out and see it! Sounds just like them!

I need prayers.....

Bentaxlecrew, my angels are sending prayers your way. Hope everything works out for you!

DOH!!!! Smoke the mushrooms? And here I thought I was suppose to roll 'em in flour and fry 'em in butter. I'll know better next time. Thanks for the advice.

Yes please do put a skirt around my soakers that way, when I soak them maybe it won't be so noticable!

Well, gotta go take care of the horses.. Catch y'all later.

Hello, friends!

I've been sick with a gnarly cold so I've been MIA around here. I've missed you all and even though I'm still not over it, I hope to find enough time to get caught up on all the chatter around the MO forum soon!

I just went through my interview with the school police department. Im not feeling so confident. Who knew they asked all those questions. Skeletons in my closet? Hows my credit? Sheesh! You know.. Im genuinely a good person. I have maybe one skeleton that I told them about. I never been in trouble. Yes Ive taken a prescription motrin that was not prescribed to me ..I cant help but wonder if Im done for. I think Im just upset because I felt so confident before and now I feel like im a bad person. Definitely a humbling experience. I have a lot of respect for you Jd and NWV.
Hey, Crew!

You've already gotten such great help and I don't have anything to offer except to say that if someone actually tried to answer that they DIDN'T have any skeletons, the interviewers might not have believed them! I'm sure there are people who are fortunate enough to NOT have any but I imagine those interviewers would be skeptical, at least. As I think further about it, the question just has to be asked because if someone had a BIG SKELETON and didn't tell when asked, it would mean they lied and could be easily dismissed. Then again, some skeletons could get THEM in trouble for hiring someone WITH that...such as juvenile crimes that have been removed from the record, I guess. I have NO KNOWLEDGE about this...I'm just GUESSING...but in some ways, it seems they're just "CYA"-ing, if you know what I mean. I'm sure you came through the interview with flying colors and whether you get the job or not, it probably will have nothing to do with those difficult skeleton-type questions/answers.

I have to tell you that I told my dh about your covering-stains-with-paint comment and he cracked up, as I suspected he would. He's a painting contractor and as soon as he gets a stain on a T-shirt, he turns it into a work shirt! So, I guess you two have something in common...and unlike you, I don't have to worry about my stain-removing skills at all!

Vacation Channel? I never heard of such a thing! Darn! I wish I could see your 'mercial! I hope your event is a great success and you have a great time. You go, girl!

What do you mean that new show isn't paying??? Don't they have a contract??? I hope the lawyer is successful at getting the payment he and his band are due. That Eagles show sounds great! I know we'd love to see that! Sounds like his career is off and running, one show or the other!

You want prayers? You got 'em! Keep us in the loop!

By the way all I found out last week that I passed my test for school police dispatcher and I have an interview next week. Thanks for all your prayers! and great advice!

Sorry to here about your poison ivy. I used to get poison oak so often that now I am practically immune to it. Just a few blisters here an there. Oatmeal baths help a little.
You and me both, bentaxlecrew. Did you see him last week when he sang Music of the Night? Good heavens, where did that come from? And have you noticed that he has gone through a major transformation over the last few weeks?
As it turns out my self diagnosis of poison ivy was wrong, I actually have first and second degree chemical burns on my hands. The scary thing is I don't know what gave it to me, so just to be safe I threw out all my cleaning supplies. If it doesn't come out with Borax, vinegar, or Dawn it ain't coming out.

kareybear I'm not there yet, I still have a little less than a month to go. And I just realized that I will be the first one on CD to see your baby! I can't wait! I'm sure you can't either, lol.

northbayeric congrats on your win, and I can't wait to have you and your wife over for some rib eyes and potato salad. Or, seeing as how you're coming from food snobby Sonoma, I'll make you a roast duck au Chez Megane with a Beaujoulais reduction served over garlic pommes frittes. I'm glad you and your wife will be joining kareybear and I up north and can't wait to meet you both.

mrsg I'm sorry to hear you've been under the weather, hope you're feeling better soon.

darylynn I pray you and your husband recover your money and I'm looking forward to hearing him come June.

mamagator what's this about you and mushrooms?Put your mushrooms together with my chemical burns and we'd have us one heck of a hallucinogenic explosion! I'm not sure if that would be a bad thing.

26 days and counting!!

You know, we could turn this into a drinking game. Take a swig everytime I say "can't wait".
