Thanks for being there NWV. I am feeling better about the entire thing. I have other avenus to take if this doesnt work out. I just feel so drawn to this job. I'll take your advice and call them because man I can be impatient! LOL! I do believe 100% though that God watches over me and knows whats best. I accept his plan for me and hope that Im listening well enough to follow his directions. Im tired of wasting my time and everyone elses. lol!

Thanks to you too mamagator. I know you are all right. Matter of fact I think that woman officer who assisted in interviewing me was actually a man.! A male skeleton! LOL! Im just playin around. She was very nice! You just knew she meant business.

Thank you Darlynn...we had many of these letters and stories that we kept on hand and would share especially with any new dispatchers. Some of us also kept a diary of some of our experiences. Little sayings too. Like...'Dispatchers, we are one of the few that can tell cops where ta go'.....

Hi everybody. Just checking in to let you know I'm still around, though still crippled with the carpal tunnel and some weird thing called De'Quirvan's tendenitis. They took our internet away at work. Can't use it unless it's work related. Talk about a bummer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The person that wrote that article talked about "taking it home" and talking to her husband about it. I guess I am lucky in that respect cause my dh is a cop and understands.

NW I don't know about you but I have often said I wish I had started keeping a diary 25 yrs ago........ could probably write a book about it.


Okay, now I have a prayer request for all my Mo peeps........ ONe of our daughters that lives in Branson had to have her gall bladder removed last friday. They said it was so full it was about to bust. Surgery went fine. But now for the past several days she can't keep anything down, not even liquids. She said the pain is just as bad as it was before the surgery. Her surgeon had her go back to the ER today, they ran some tests, found her liver enzymes were really high and her urine is a funny looking brown. She also said her skin is yellow, like she has juandice. She's at Skaggs Hospital, was finally admitted this afternoon. They did an ultra sound and a c-scan and couldn't find any stones that might have been lodged. We are going up tomorrow. This is the same daughter that was in the really bad accident last August, hit by a drunk driver. I keep telling myself the Lord never gives us more than we can handle but sometimes it's hard to wait for Him to show His plan for us. It's even harder since we are here in Arkansas and not up there. I couldn't even go up there last weekend and be with her cause I had/have a stupid staph infection.
Enough of my ramblings......... just please keep her in your prayers that they will figure out what is causing this.

Jdslady, sorry to hear about your daughter. I will send up a prayer for her.

Hubby is doing fine. The gash on his face is healing nicely and I don't think there will be much of a scar. I can't believe he is actually going back tomorrow and try to help our friend get that darned horse. But it is a stud and we do want to breed our mare.
The mare is not even halter broke, but she will take treats out of my hand and she actually let me touch her a bit when she took the treat from my hand yesterday. She sees me touching and hugging on the other three horses and really wants in on the attention, so I don't think it will be long and I will be able to get up close with her too.

Finally got that house clean (while mine is in total disrepair!). I have been going there everyday and cleaning and doing my laundry (what a blessing). I am going to have quite the load to take to Good Will or to a church that gives to the needy. After opening all the tubs of clothes from the move and washing them, I couldn't believe all the things I forgot I had that don't fit anymore. And since moving into this cabin I have very little storage space so I have to really downsize my wardrobe.

Hope the storms weren't too bad last night. We haven't gotten any rain here yet. But are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. Stay safe.

What a beautiful prayer Shadowcaver.

OMG. The news was showing pictures of downtown Ava (12 miles from me) and they received some major damage in the storm this morning. We got some rain and wind but nothing like what hit downtown. I heard there was damage to the school, court house and other buildings.

I'll be praying for your daughter...and for YOU, lady! I know it's tough...but God is tougher! Believe Him for miracles today! He IS able...after all, He is the same yesterday, today and forever and if He could do healing and miracles then, He can do them now! Amen!

Just remember...He couldn't do many miracles in Nazareth because of their unbelief. I'm praying you'll have faith to go beyond what you see and feel so you can claim the Bible's promise...that by His stripes we WERE healed! (1 Peter 2:24)

I know the struggle for faith...and I've failed at it often...but I haven't given up...and never will!
